Marie Stopes

In 1976 the family planning pioneer and co-founder of Marie Stopes International, Dr Tim Black CBE, saved the famous Marie Stopes clinic in central London, after he heard it was going to close down due to financial difficulty. Marie Stopes House, as it is now known, became the first of more than 600 Marie Stopes International clinics around the world.
