  Dental implants give back beautiful smile when it comes to loss of the tooth as a results of trauma (teething), bleeding, periodontal disease or aging. They are also an excellent choice if you want to shape your teeth due to certain functional disorders, which is the reason the natural tooth had to be pulled out. Regardless of the reason, lost tooth must be replaced, and implant therapy a practical, long-term, aesthetic and functional solution

  Any person who is missing one or more natural teeth, as well as those with deteriorating natural chewing ability, or are unsatisfied with aesthetic appearance or those with inadequate speech function may be potential candidates for dental implants. The procedure is recommended for those patients who have difficulty or are completely unable to wear dentures. Potential obstacles do dental implant procedure can be the volume of bone, bone ridge height or unfavorable structure of bones. In this case, the additional surgery such as bones grafting is required in order to insert implant into the jawbone.   How do you prepare?

  Just before the insertion of dental implants, it is necessary to make a complete examination and make a digital image of your teeth and both jaws (not older than 6 months). Based on X-ray examination we will evaluate the quality of the bone anatomy and supportive structure, after which we will carefully plan the type of procedure of implant therapy. In conversation with the dentist and oral surgeon, our clients will know in detail all stages of dental implant therapy, which will harmonize with the existing situation, wishes and expectations of the client.

  During the procedure

  The implant is surgically embedded into the bone under local anesthesia, so the procedure itself is very quick and completely painless. These are the steps of dental implant therapy: 

  First step is to remove existing tooth and placing the screws in the jaw.

  Second step is necessary healing time from 3-6 months during which the implant grows with the bone - a process called osseointegration. During the healing process, if the implant has a primary stability, temporary crown can be worn. Once the surrounding bone tissue grows together with the implant and thus ensures stable root for the new tooth, gingiva-former is placed on the implant that shapes gums for dental prosthesis.

  Third step is a week or two later, after healing and shaping of the gums, when superstructure and ceramic crown is fixed on the implant, which gives the person superior functional but also aesthetically pleasing solution.

  Fourth step involves setting ceramic crowns, dentures or bridges which gives the person the ultimate functional, and aesthetic solution.

  Classical methods of dental implants

  Classical methods of inserting dental implants is done in 2-3 stages. First, the natural tooth is pulled out, then the implant is inserted into bone and the final ceramic crown is made and fixed onto the implant.
