Description

The rehabilitation team will practice a specific plan for you that includes general conditioning exercises and exercises to stretch the hip and knee and to strengthen all arm and leg muscles. Standing and balancing exercises in parallel bars will be encouraged while promoting endurance. You will learn how to do activities of daily living using the prosthesis, adaptive devices in order to improve your life quality and to facilitate community re-entry.

The 30 day plan includes:    

  • Physiatrist evaluation, follow up
  • Physical therapy
  • Occupational therapy
  • Psychologist support
  • Social worker support
